To find the average rates for California auto insurance, ValuePenguin collected thousands of rates from ZIP codes across California for the largest insurance companies. Unless otherwise noted, quotes are for a 30-year-old man with good credit who drives a 2018 Honda Civic EX. Quotes for a teen driver are for an 18-year-old man with good credit who drives a 2018 Honda Civic EX.
