Wells Fargo Autograph℠ Card vs. Chase Freedom Unlimited®

On Chase's Secure Website

The Chase Freedom Unlimited® Card is one of our favorite $0-annual-fee credit cards on the market. Cardholders can Enjoy 5% cash back on travel purchased through Chase Ultimate Rewards®, our premier rewards program that lets you redeem rewards for cash back, travel, gift cards and more; 3% cash back on drugstore purchases and dining at restaurants, including takeout and eligible delivery service, and 1.5% on all other purchases.

This card charges $0 annual fee and offers flexible redemption options, which allow you to utilize Chase's valuable Ultimate Rewards® program. The Chase Freedom Unlimited® also comes with a strong sign-up bonus and a low intro APR on purchases and balance transfers. Ultimately, these cards are extremely similar, but the Chase Freedom Unlimited® offers more valuable redemption options.

Wells Fargo Autograph℠ Card vs. Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card

On Chase's Secure Website

Verdict: Better perks for a moderate annual fee

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card is one of the most popular travel rewards cards, and for good reason. This card offers cardholders a sign-up bonus with impressive rewards right off the bat: Earn 60,000 bonus points after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. That's $750 when you redeem through Chase Ultimate Rewards®. The card also includes a strong earning rate, and points are extremely valuable and flexible when redeemed through the Ultimate Rewards program.

Cardholders can enjoy travel and purchase protections and special partner benefits with companies like Lyft and DoorDash. The only drawback is that the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card charges a $95 annual fee. If you'd rather not pay an annual fee at all, you might be better off with the Wells Fargo Autograph℠ Card.

Wells Fargo Autograph℠ Card vs. Wells Fargo Reflect® Card

See Rates & Fees. On Wells Fargo's Secure Website

Verdict: Long 0% intro APR period on purchases and balance transfers

The Wells Fargo Reflect® Card is targeted toward consumers looking for an extra long intro 0% APR period on purchases and balance transfers. This card does not charge an annual fee and comes with a 0% intro APR up to 21 months from account opening on purchases and 0% intro APR up to 21 months from account opening on qualifying balance transfers. There is an intro APR extension of up to three months with on-time minimum payments during the introductory and extension periods, and a 15.24% - 27.24% variable APR thereafter. This can be extremely beneficial for those looking to pay down debt.

The Wells Fargo Reflect® Card comes with perks like roadside dispatch, cellphone protection and zero liability protection, but it does not include any rewards earning structure. If you're looking for a moderately long low intro APR period and still want to earn rewards on all your purchases, the Wells Fargo Autograph℠ Card will be the more lucrative choice.

Should you get the Wells Fargo Autograph℠ Card?

If you're looking for a solid no-annual-fee credit card that earns top rewards in everyday spending categories, you should definitely consider getting the Wells Fargo Autograph℠ Card. Though it doesn't come with many additional perks, the earning rate, sign-up bonus and low intro APR on purchases help to sweeten the deal. How We Calculate Rewards: ValuePenguin calculates the value of rewards by estimating the dollar value of any points, miles or bonuses earned using the card less any associated annual fees. These estimates here are ValuePenguin's alone, not those of the card issuer, and have not been reviewed, approved or otherwise endorsed by the credit card issuer.

Example of how we calculate the rewards rates: When redeemed for travel through Ultimate Rewards, Chase Sapphire Preferred points are worth $0.0125 each. The card awards 2 points on travel and dining and 1 point on everything else. Therefore, we say the card has a 2.5% rewards rate on dining and travel (2 x $0.0125) and a 1.25% rewards rate on everything else (1 x $0.0125).
