Marriott is now offering one of the best welcome bonuses we’ve seen: New cardmembers can earn up to 75,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for a limited time only. Both the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless™ Credit Card and Marriott Bonvoy Bold™ Credit Card have significantly raised their sign-up bonuses for a limited time. Each card differs in benefits and fees, so be sure to read on.

Marriott Bonvoy Boundless™ Credit Card bonus

The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless™ Credit Card has the higher of the two sign-up bonuses — Earn 75,000 Bonus Points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. Depending on the hotel category and the time you book it, this sign-up bonus can result in a diverse range of redemptions. You can enjoy up to 16 nights at a Category 1 property, four nights at a Category 4 property, two nights at a Category 6 property or one night at a Category 8 property. Therefore, this introductory offer can be worth hundreds of dollars, depending on the property you book.

The card comes with plenty of benefits outside of the sign-up bonus with a reasonable $95 annual fee.

How many Marriott Bonvoy points do you need for a free night?

Marriott uses an award chart system, meaning that each hotel has fixed prices when purchasing a room using Marriott Bonvoy points. There are three different prices for each category, based on room demand of the hotel (off-peak, standard or peak). In addition, each tier indicates the level of luxury of a property.

  • You’re a current cardmember, or were a previous cardmember within the last 30 days of the Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card (also known as The Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express).
  • You’re a current or previous cardmember of either Marriott Bonvoy Business™ American Express® Card (also known as The Starwood Preferred Guest® Business Credit Card from American Express) or Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant™ American Express® Card (also known as the Starwood Preferred Guest® American Express Luxury Card), and received a new cardmember bonus or upgrade bonus in the last 24 months.
  • If you’ve applied and were approved for Marriott Bonvoy Business™ American Express® Card (also known as The Starwood Preferred Guest® Business Credit Card from American Express) or Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant™ American Express® Card (also known as the Starwood Preferred Guest® American Express Luxury Card) within the last 90 days.

How We Calculate Rewards: ValuePenguin calculates the value of rewards by estimating the dollar value of any points, miles or bonuses earned using the card less any associated annual fees. These estimates here are ValuePenguin's alone, not those of the card issuer, and have not been reviewed, approved or otherwise endorsed by the credit card issuer.

Example of how we calculate the rewards rates: When redeemed for travel through Ultimate Rewards, Chase Sapphire Preferred points are worth $0.0125 each. The card awards 2 points on travel and dining and 1 point on everything else. Therefore, we say the card has a 2.5% rewards rate on dining and travel (2 x $0.0125) and a 1.25% rewards rate on everything else (1 x $0.0125).
