Logging in to the Discover it® Cash Back card

  • Head to the Discover website.
  • Click the 'log in' button in the upper right corner.
  • Enter your username and password, then select "credit card" from the drop-down menu.
  • Then click 'log in.'

Did you forget your Discover username or password?

Discover lets you retrieve either your username or password if you forgot it. Click on the "Forgot User ID/Password?" link in the "Log In" box.

After that, you have to choose which account login information you need. Under "Credit Cards," select either "forgot user ID," "forgot password" or "forgot both."

Next, you'll be taken to a screen to enter your credit card number, card expiration date, date of birth and last 4 digits of your Social Security number.

Once you are logged into your account, select "Account Profile" from the top of your screen. In your Account Profile, you can either view your current user ID or select a new one under the "Account Information" section, which is the first section on the Account Profile page.

For a forgotten password, if you do not have your card information, you can reset your password by calling Customer Service at 1-800-DISCOVER. You will then receive an email with a temporary password. The temporary password is only good for 72 hours, so please make sure you create a new password as soon as you log in by selecting "Account Profile" at the top of your screen and clicking the "Edit" button under "Account Information" on the Account Profile page.

How We Calculate Rewards: ValuePenguin calculates the value of rewards by estimating the dollar value of any points, miles or bonuses earned using the card less any associated annual fees. These estimates here are ValuePenguin's alone, not those of the card issuer, and have not been reviewed, approved or otherwise endorsed by the credit card issuer.

Example of how we calculate the rewards rates: When redeemed for travel through Ultimate Rewards, Chase Sapphire Preferred points are worth $0.0125 each. The card awards 2 points on travel and dining and 1 point on everything else. Therefore, we say the card has a 2.5% rewards rate on dining and travel (2 x $0.0125) and a 1.25% rewards rate on everything else (1 x $0.0125).
