Frequently asked questions

No American Express credit cards currently have DoorDash credits available. DoorDash has partnered with Chase, which means that if you're looking for DoorDash perks and benefits you will want to look at either the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card or Chase Sapphire Reserve® credit cards. DoorDash purchases on American Express will count as food delivery purchases, which will earn 4X Membership Rewards points on the American Express® Gold Card in the U.S. for example.

No, the Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card does not have a DoorDash benefit. Chase has a currently exclusive partnership with DoorDash, which means that cards from other issuers (like Capital One) do not have specific DoorDash benefits. The Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card does earn 4% cashback on dining purchases, which includes most delivery services.

No current credit card offers bonuses or statement credits specifically for Postmates, so you'll want to pick a credit card that has a high earnings rate on dining and delivery services. Which card is the best credit card to use for Postmates will depend on what type of rewards you value most. You can earn 4% cashback with the Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card or 4 Membership Rewards per dollar on U.S. delivery services with the American Express® Gold Card.

The Chase Sapphire Reserve® card does not have any specific benefits for Uber Eats. Uber has partnered with American Express, which offers Uber Cash on some of its cards. Uber Eats transactions will earn 3 Ultimate Rewards points per dollar on the Chase Sapphire Reserve® card.

Methodology

When choosing the best credit card for food delivery, we looked at the value that users would get from having each of these credit cards. We looked at available statement credits, delivery perks and benefits that came with each card as well as the earnings rates and annual fee of each credit card. The credit cards chosen for this article were not influenced by our advertisers. Learn more on how we calculate rewards.

This compensation may impact how and where products appear on this site (including, for example, the order in which they appear). ValuePenguin does not include all financial institutions or all products offered available in the marketplace.

How We Calculate Rewards: ValuePenguin calculates the value of rewards by estimating the dollar value of any points, miles or bonuses earned using the card less any associated annual fees. These estimates here are ValuePenguin's alone, not those of the card issuer, and have not been reviewed, approved or otherwise endorsed by the credit card issuer.

Example of how we calculate the rewards rates: When redeemed for travel through Ultimate Rewards, Chase Sapphire Preferred points are worth $0.0125 each. The card awards 2 points on travel and dining and 1 point on everything else. Therefore, we say the card has a 2.5% rewards rate on dining and travel (2 x $0.0125) and a 1.25% rewards rate on everything else (1 x $0.0125).
